Hostel Rules & Regulations

  1. The students are advised to keep their valuable things safe.
  2. No Electrical appliances are allowed in the hostel except Laptops and Mobile phones. (Prior Permission should be taken in a proper channel for the same).
  3. The Students are allowed to go out of the hostel/ college premises only after receiving the out-pass signed by the Deputy Wardens and the Administration Officer.
  4. The outings should be entered in a register with the security and the student should sign in the register after they return. Parents will be informed about the outings.
  5. Only the persons who have submitted their Photo Identity are permitted to visit the Hostellers.
  6. The inmates of the hostel should not leave the hostel on any day without prior permission of the Deputy Warden/Warden. Incase if they fail severe disciplinary action will be taken against them which/may include expulsion of the students from the hostel.
  7. When the students come from home, they should report before 8.a.m/6.p.m to the Deputy Warden/ Warden.
  8. Wrong entry, improper/lack of entry in exit register, signing on behalf of another person, tampering with the entries, proxy attendance and misguidance of any nature are punishable. In case of any quarrel between or among roommates it should be reported to the Deputy Warden for appropriate action.
  9. Members of the hostel should not absent themselves from the classes and stay in the hostel.
  10. Study hours should be regularly followed from 8.30pm to 10 pm.
  11. Camera Mobile phones are strictly prohibited.
  12. The students are asked to submit their mobiles to the warden at 8 p.m. and can get it back by 7 a.m.
  13. The making of noise with mobile phones in hostel premises including rooms, bathrooms, dining halls, corridors, common areas etc., should be avoided and every student of the hostel should have the civic responsibility that he or she should not cause inconvenience, annoyance or disturbance to others.
  14. Strict silence should be observed between 10:00 pm to 6:00 am.
  15. The rooms should be properly maintained and cleaned by the students of their respective rooms.
  16. The hostellers will not be permitted to change their rooms.
  17. Day scholars are not allowed to enter hostel. Hostellers should not encourage entry of day scholars.
  18. Celebrating birthday parties inside the hostel rooms is strictly prohibited.
  19. Collection of donation and assembling of students for any purpose (Religious/otherwise) is also strictly prohibited.
  20. Students are not allowed to play outdoor games inside the hostel premises to prevent breakages and accidents. Sliding along the hand rails/rest of stairs and fast running/climbing down should be totally avoided to prevent accidents.
  21. While leaving rooms for attending classes or for vacation, etc., fans, electrical gadgets, lights etc., should be switched off. Glass windows are to be closed securely.
  22. Alarm Clocks should be switched off, when not in use. There have been instances when students have set the alarm and gone on long leave, and some of them ringing for hours and spoiling the peace of fellow hostellers.
  23. Water should be carefully used and not wasted.
  24. Students are not allowed to keep any power driven two wheeler vehicles or car in the hostel if so the vehicle will be ceased.
  25. Rough handling of dining hall furniture, room furniture or any furniture/ property or fittings of the hostel is strictly forbidden.
  26. The cost of damage will be recovered in the following manner:
    • If any individual or group is identified to have caused damage, double the cost will be recovered from him/her/group.
    • If damage is done in anyone of the rooms and the person(s) is/are not identified then  double the cost will be recovered from the room-mates collectively.               
    • If damage is done outside the rooms i.e., in common places like corridors, bathrooms, recreation halls, mess etc., and the person(s) is /are not identified, then double the cost will be recovered, floorwise or block wise or on whole, as the case may be. Repetition of damage to the hostel property will result in expulsion from the hostel.

   27. The usage of computer is for academic purpose only.

   28. The hostel authorities will conduct unannounced checks periodically and if anyone is found violating the above rules, disciplinary action will be taken against him/her.
